The TB XLC. A lot of bad things have been said about this headset, and because now I am getting a new headset, I just want to clear things up. This headset is NOT as bad as everyone says it is. I've had it for a year and it hasn't broke yet. Yes, it may be more breakable than the other TBs, but if you don't rage and slam it against the wall, you've got a good chance of keeping it in tact.
The XLCs also have a good sound quality, not as good as other TBs again, but then, this is their cheapest headset. You can easily hear the position of enemies, and I think of it like a vague UAV. So far : Good Sound Quality, and easily not broken. There is just one problem that I have with this headset.
Comfort. Because the XLC is always pushing against your ears to stay on, after say, 1 hour and 30 mins, they can get uncomfortable, and it stays like that for the rest of the day. This is the only reason why I am upgrading to the X11s.
To conclude, if you want a cheap headset which serves its purpose of sound whoring, then buy the Turtle Beach XLC.
